This incredibly scenic drive takes you from sea level to over 10,000-feet / 3,050-meters high. The drive is 38 miles / 6 km, but due to the steep roads it takes a couple of hours. The views as you ascend and descend are truly magnificent, making this a great way to spend a day.

The railroads of Hawaii were once used to carry sugar cane from the fields and to transport workers between the cane fields and their homes. Now Hawaii's railroads have almost entirely disappeared, but the Sugar Cane Train takes visitors on a picturesque journey along a 6-mile / 10 km stretch of track. The train travels through divine countryside and across a 325-foot / 100-meter trestle that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and neighboring islands.
